About the Role 

As an Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will be the trusted expert who provides customers with detailed estimates and ensures every vehicle leaves our shop mechanically sound and safe. 

You will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, using your expertise to solve problems and deliver exceptional service. 

Responsibilities 

• Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing, as well as information provided by the customer 

• Troubleshoot and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately 

• Provide customers with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements, and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work 

• Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist 

• Describe the vehicle’s condition to the customer and answer any follow-up questions 

• File appropriate documentation on each repair 

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times 

Qualifications 

• Minimum of 5 years of strong, full-time automotive repair experience 

• Licensed (Red Seal) preferred 

• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication in English 

• Experience in customer service is an asset 

• MOPIA and/or safety certified is an asset 

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, problem-solve, and proceed with objectives without supervision 

• Alert and resourceful, with the ability to interact with a cross-section of individuals 

• Must have own tools 

• Valid Class 5 Licence – plus ability to drive standard transmission 

• Clean driving record
